Want to know a little more about me?
| | I am currently living with my new wife Sarah in a condo in Cambridge, Massachusetts that I really like. Sarah and I got married in June 2007 in York Maine. The wedding went great and we had a great honeymoon in the Greek islands. For the last few years I have been working as a software architect within EMC's software group. After graduating from Rensselaer I worked for years as a developer on eRoom and eventually became responsible for overseeing its architecture. I love this product and use it every day. eRoom was started by a company called Instinctive Technology, later renamed to eRoom Technology (after its flagship product). eRoom Technology was bought by Documentum in 2003. In 2004 Documentum was bought by EMC, so as I said, I now work for EMC. I have spent my whole career working on web based applications of some sort. I started with web sites, applets and then eventually was working on commercial software. I have worked in pretty much every aspect of the eRoom product, have implemented major parts of the application, and designed major parts of its architecture. Recently, I spend most of my time working out various aspects of web based application architecture. In addition, I have developed a strong interest in software security and have been doing more and more work in this area. I started getting into computers when I was working for a hotel in Maine in 1995 and started working on their web site. Soon after that I got my B.S. in Computer Science and Psychology. I had always been interested in psychology and found the intersection of psychology and software very interesting. For my senior thesis at RPI, I created a learning chess program. I have since spent some time improving this program and it can now beat me if I am not careful. I hope to add this application (Smart Chess) here at some point in the near future. | | | |
